As a life-long Baptist, I feel completely comfortable openly admitting that we are a fun and easy group to make fun of. Everyone has to take some time to laugh at themselves, right? In this list, I have compiled a few key things that seem to be widely loved among Baptist believers. Earlier today it was announced that the primates of the Anglican Church have essentially placed their American branch, the Episcopal Church, on probation for 3 years for their support for homosexual marriage. they have also been suspended from full participation in the Anglican Communion. This suspension calls for the Episcopalian church to lose its vote and voice in a number of areas. In short, for 3 years they are not able to take part if the decision making process on "issues of doctrine or polity".  This news coming from www.anglican.ink. Read more

As you read it, your kids will likely ask questions that you haven't fully thought through yet just because of how thorough it is in the way of a systematic theology, but that is a good thing. Beyond this, they will ask questions you haven’t thought through as of yet simply because they are children and think of these things like children do. Embrace that and run with it; use this as an opportunity to get into more difficult concepts of Systematic Theology with your kids – and if that means more work for you as well, good! Ultimately, it is a resource tool to equip you in the God-given role you have as the primary teacher of your children. /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin-top:0in; mso-para-margin-right:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:10.0pt; mso-para-margin-left:0in; line-height:115%; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;} Read more

While I love John Piper and have greatly benefited from his ministry, especially in the early days of my faith, I feel that his latest article has been a gigantic misstep in many ways... Spoiler Free!! They're back. Han, Leia, Chewbacca, and so many other familiar characters from the original trilogy that there were times when I thought I was watching the original film (do I need to add Episode IV?).  The plot is very similar, whole lines are repeated, there's location shooting and miniature models instead of CGI, and the stormtroopers still can't shoot for crap when the plot requires them to miss.  But, who cares!  Because the force has awakened and the magic is back!  This film is what we were all hoping the crummy prequels would be, and it's going to shatter every box-office record there is. Read more
