Trolls

I had no idea there were so many trolls in the world. Well, maybe not in the world but certainly on the Internet.

I have decided on a strategy for dealing with trolls. I am going to just ignore them. I am going to treat them as though they are invisible.

They do not contribute to a conversation, they hijack it if we let them.

They do not make rational arguments, they only offer ad hominem attacks.

Trolls seek to suck up all our time and take our time away from genuine questioners.

So, join me in ignoring trolls. If you are reading my blog and you see a troll, don’t respond. That really pisses them off. Just ignore them.

Let them troll each others pages.

Their motto: If you build it (a blog, a Facebook page), we will come.

My Motto: If you ignore them, they will fade away. They only exist for the thrill of causing chaos and mayhem. Ignore them and you deny them that. They will starve and die from lack of attention.

It is time for Internet trolls to go the way of all dinosaurs. Maybe they will become the intellectual fossil fuels of coming generations.
