I’m writing a new book and need your help. It’s a funny illustrated book with an edge, addressing two fundamental human realities:

We all fall short of being perfect, or even who we wish we were or could be, and;

We all share a basic losing to become better people.

I do write this from a context of Christian culture, though it’s not strictly “about” or “for” Christians. I do, however, take on the problem of religiosity, which is when we we use our religion in a way that actually makes us worse people than we are without it. Religion, after all, is a tool with no inherent moral imperative by itself. We use it to seek God, to become more like Jesus (if we’re Christians) of our ideal potential self. But sometimes it does quite the opposite.

So this book is for all who long to become better people, as individuals and as parts of a greater societal whole. Given my religious experience and insight, a I also try to help share why and how we abuse our religion and perhaps reorient ourselves toward a more Christ-like path.
