Prayers for Turkey

In news that might or might not be related to anything else going on in the region, there appears to be a military coup happening in Turkey.  No news, details, or clear understanding of what’s going on.  It’s enough to remind us that we’re not in the fourth quarter of human history, with two minutes left and all we need to do is slap America into shape and then everyone in the world will live happy.  We’re just passing through.  There’s a whole world out there itching to do good, and do evil, and all without the input or influence of the US.  So pray that all works out for peace and for the common good.  Pray God protect the innocent, and bring strength to those who would promote love and peace in the face of conflict and hate.
