But you have to admit, that is some sneering, condescending, snobbish arrogance in those clips. Not just pundits and comedians. Actual journalists. And not just arrogance, but a clear and obvious inability to consider the possibility that anyone would see things other than the way they see them. One of Trump’s strengths was the arrogance of the Left.
I don’t blame them for being wrong, after all, I was wrong. I predicted Trump would lose. So imagine my shock the day after the election. Nonetheless, I never for a minute didn’t understand why some, if not most, were supporting him. I could understand why people might swing to Hillary to avoid Trump. Something most in these clips seem to identity with. But I could also see why they might do the opposite. And despite their lofty positions as keep observers and commentators on American life, they missed it by a mile. Furthermore, they missed because they were utterly incapable of stepping out of their bubbles of group-think and seeing that there might be a world that doesn’t see it their way.
