Israel in 2013, After All

Israel in 2013, After All February 13, 2012

I had written in an earlier post that this April’s tour to Israel would probably be the last public tour that I would lead there for the foreseeable future.

However, my wife and I have just agreed to lead another one in late April and early May of 2013 — assuming that the Middle East isn’t at war by then.

When we had first thought of doing yet another Israel tour in 2013, our plan was to follow that up immediately with a tour to Egypt, a country that we both deeply love.  However, given the chaotic political situation in the region and within the country itself, we don’t feel that we should go ahead with that idea.  The odds are very good that everything would go just fine.  But there’s just too high a risk that something could go seriously wrong.  We’re both very sad about this.  Egypt is an endlessly fascinating country.
