For all my concern about the evils of radical Islam, including the metastasizing nihilistic death cult calling itself the “Islamic State” — ISIS now has affiliates and imitators in Libya, from which it’s fantasizing about an assault on Rome, as well as in Syria and Iraq, and there are reports that the murderous Nigerian group known as Boko Haram has recently pledged its allegiance to the “Islamic State”– I agree with what Philip Jenkins has to say here:

I continue to wish that the United States had a president.
I recall the 2012 campaign, when Mitt Romney described Vladimir Putin as our most serious international adversary. Barack Obama mocked him for that silly idea, and the lapdog media echoed Mr. Obama’s derision.
