Jabra Ghneim called my attention to this piece.  The discovery isn’t especially new any more, but it’s very likely new to many people, so well worth mentioning here:

I’ve tried to make the case for Turkey as “another Holy Land” for many years now.  More tourists — more Latter-day Saint tourists — should visit it.  It’s a wonderful and fascinating place.

 

The impressive ruins of Hierapolis (“Holy City”) sit adjacent to the modern southwestern Turkish city of Pamukkale.
