Once again, the claim that Jesus never existed

Sigh.  I’ve just come across another atheist thread, positively breathless with excitement and delight, asserting that scholarship has now demonstrated that Jesus of Nazareth never existed.

The inspiration for this particular thread is a book by one Michael Paulkovich,

This is crazy stuff.
