“Out of small things”

The latest installment of my weekly Deseret News column is up:

And the usual commenters have already begun to comment.

One of them faults the column for focusing only on the Abrahamic tradition.

It would have been nice to have included a few irrelevant chapters on Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, etc., I suppose.  They would have nothing to do with the thesis of the article, and nothing to do with the express faith-commitment on which all installments of this particular column are based.  But these columns are always 736-739 words long.  I’m not sure how the critics expect me to have crammed all of that stuff in.
