A second temple has now been announced for the city, in the (northern) Los Olivos District.

I offer a few links for those of you who might want to try to keep up with President Russell M. Nelson’s latest travels to meet with the Latter-day Saints worldwide.  It obviously shouldn’t be very difficult.  After all, he’s ninety-four years old.  How hard can it be?

Anyhow, there’s some good information here, accompanied by short videos:

If you’re interested in seeing other good things that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are doing internationally, here’s a good sampling:

The recent string of significant disasters and crises has, of course, used up a notable portion of the Church’s resources, which always need to be replenished in preparation for the next challenge.

As we near the close of the year, when — under the tax laws of the United States, anyway — many people consider year-end donations to charity, I hope that you’ll think about the possibility of a donation to LDS Charities.

“Love is one of the chief characteristics of Deity, and ought to be manifested by those who aspire to be the sons of God. A man filled with the love of God, is not content with blessing his family alone, but ranges through the whole world, anxious to bless the whole human race.”  (Joseph Smith, Jr.)

The October 14 broadcast of the weekly Interpreter Radio Show is now available online.  During it, Allen Wyatt and Terry Hutchinson discussed a new biography of Martin Harris, upcoming Interpreter Foundation projects, and Bible translations and commentaries.

Incidentally, Edwin Q. Cannon, who is shown in the photograph that accompanies Jeff’s piece, was my (beloved) mission president in the Switzerland Zürich Mission.
