Two films that need to be seen

Two films that need to be seen April 1, 2019

Viva la revolución!

Many of us, I realize, seek escape in the movies that we watch.  I understand that.  So do I, very often.  And neither of the films below is going to be nearly as fun as Captain Marvel.  That’s the simple fact.  But this is a vastly important and even urgent topic, and these films need to be seen by many, many, many people:

Unplanned Helps Pro-Lifers Tell the Truth about Abortion: Seeing the truth about abortion will change people’s minds about the procedure and society’s view of this heinous human-rights abuse.”

Unplanned Graces: An upcoming movie tells a true story of love, hope, and redemption in the wake of abortion.”

“The Power of Unplanned: Every person has a story that can help others.”

The film is out now, in a relatively limited number of theaters, and it’s very possible that there has been a concerted attempt to suppress it:

“‘This is Outrageous’:  Conservatives and Journalists React after Twitter Appears to Block Pro-Life Film”

“Pro-life film ‘Unplanned’ assigned surprise R-rating by MPAA: Decision could emphasize that abortion is ‘act of violence,’ fimmakers say”

But Unplanned appears to be doing alright despite possible efforts to censor and silence it:

“Anti-Abortion Film ‘Unplanned’ Beats Box Office Expectations With $6 Million Opening: Pure Flix’s true story film earns the studio’s second highest opening ever”

When the book Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer was published, elite media outlets sought, rather successfully, to hide the fact:

“‘Gosnell’ Authors Blast New York Times Best-Seller List for Ignoring Book Exposing Abortion Horrors”

Unsurprisingly, therefore, when an important film based on the book came out in October 2018, the same quite successful approach was adopted:

“The Most Important Movie You’ve Never Heard Of: Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer opens Friday.”

“Gosnell: Murder, Abortion and the Movie You Weren’t Supposed to See”

“Suppression: Theaters Drop ‘Gosnell’ Movie Despite It Being a Top-Grossing Film”

“Exclusive: Dean Cain on the Bias Against His New Movie, ‘Gosnell’: The ‘Lois and Clark’ and ‘God’s Not Dead’ actor told LifeZette the ‘powers that be’ are trying to suppress the film”

The issues raised by Unplanned and Gosnell deserve to be heard and seen by large audiences, whatever the elite media may prefer.
