Fake news!

“New Covid-19 cases reported Friday in the US are the second highest since the pandemic began”

“Another smashed record of positive COVID-19 tests pushes Utah over 101,000 cases: University of Utah Health officials plead for residents to help stem the spread as ICU at 99% capacity”

“Daily coronavirus case numbers in the US are at levels not seen since the summer, and 14 states recently have set hospitalization records”

“Coronavirus pandemic is causing ‘unacceptable’ shortages in US drug supplies, report says”

The implications of this development are interesting:

“In Mississippi, more White people now have gotten Covid-19 than African Americans. Attitudes about masks might help explain why, official says”

From back in August 2020:

“News Feature: Finding a vaccine for misinformation”

The “scientific” conspirators behind the scamdemic hoax are unrelenting:

“Wearing masks could save more than 100,000 US lives through February, new study suggests”

“Social distancing limited Covid-19 spread for Major League Baseball teams”

His Commie plan is working!

“Fauci says it might be time to mandate masks as Covid-19 surges across US”

Another vulnerable group.  Are we supposed to care?

“People with Down syndrome have 10 times the risk of death from Covid-19 as those without, study finds”

The possible reasons for this are interesting:

“COVID-19 Becoming Less Deadly”

For what it’s worth, though, a close friend’s mother just died, two day ago, from the coronavirus.  Of course, she was old.

And here’s some vaccine-related news:

“There could be a COVID-19 vaccine by the end of 2020. But you might not get it until spring 2021: Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar offered a new timetable for the COVID-19 vaccine.”

“NIH director says Covid-19 vaccine authorization “might not happen” by end of year”

“Covid-19 “could be here for years” if only half of Americans take the vaccine, NIH director says”

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.” For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? 11 So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12 When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.  (1 Corinthians 8:4-13, NIV)
