“Religion Poisons Everything!” (18)

Samaritan’s Purse is a non-denominational Evangelical charity engaged in international humanitarian aid.  Its chairman, president, and CEO is Franklin Graham, son of the famed evangelist Billy Graham.

If it’s really true that, as the late Christopher Hitchens maintained, “religion poisons everything,” Samaritan’s Purse would be a better organization if it lacked religious motivation.  (Maybe it could be called “Secularist’s Purse”?)  And, for that matter, the world might be a better place if Samaritan’s Purse didn’t exist at all.
