
To whatever extent Mr. Trump may actually have achieved some success in business, a substantial portion of it has come from encouraging Americans and others to gamble and take irrational risks. That seems rather appropriate, to me.
As a way to eventually win their party back, should Republican donors keep their money from the Trump campaign?

It’s unlikely, of course, that my vast financial resources would have made any difference to the ultimate outcome of the 2016 presidential race, but, still, I can make my little statement.
And if more than a few traditionally Republican donors withhold their money (as the Mormon donors in Nevada appear to be doing), that will have a real impact.
P.S.: Dr. Wills’s article is also interesting, by the way, because of the light it sheds on the sheer fraudulence of Mr. Trump’s candidacy.
