“Hanks and Eastwood Bring the Right Stuff to Sully’s Tale”

My wife and I saw Sully a few days ago, and I concur with this review by John Podhoretz:

I recommend it.  It’s a good film.

It didn’t make me feel any better about insurance companies, though.

Last week, we discovered a very slow leak in some of our plumbing that had, it turned out, already done considerable damage in rooms on two floors.  We had an insurance person come over, and our insurer isn’t going to help at all.  Not a dime.  (We hadn’t noticed the minuscule leak in time, you see.)  Which means that we’re going to be saddled  with a considerable bill that we hadn’t anticipated.  Permit me the, umm, liberty to say — just for our, umm, mutual understanding — that, despite the expectations encouraged by this particular insurance company, I didn’t “break into [my] happy dance.”

I still haven’t.
