I’m doing so because Harry Reid represented Nevada for many years in the United States Senate. Still, deceptive appearances notwithstanding, this blog is an official publication of neither the State of Nevada nor even the Nevada State Gaming Commission.
As explained earlier today, anybody who posts a crude, obscene, or defamatory comment about Harry Reid on either this blog or my Facebook page from now until midnight on Sunday (Utah time) will have that comment deleted as soon as I see it and will then be instantly and permanently blocked from posting ever again.
I don’t do political posts on the Sabbath, though I permit others to post political comments if they choose. But some of the personal attacks on Senator Reid have been so appalling to me, so egregiously over the top, that I won’t permit such behavior to be publicly displayed on sites that I control. I may relax my prohibition as of midnight, but I may not. My hope is that, after a day of reflecting on really important things and on Christian behavior, people will have second thoughts about continuing further down such a poor and sordid road.
