Here’s a notice that I’m also going to have sent out to the Interpreter Foundation mailing list:

(A still photograph by James Jordan taken on the set of the Interpreter Foundation’s “Witnesses” film project back in 2019.)
A small production crew will be doing some supplemental filming for the Interpreter Foundation’s Witnesses movie project at Genesee Country Village—about half an hour from Rochester, New York, and not far from Palmyra—from 23 June through 25 June. The film is almost totally finished now, but some relatively small details remain.
We are trying to keep costs down by flying no more people to New York than we absolutely must.
So I’m writing to inquire whether anybody out there would be available (or knows somebody who would be available) to help during those days. Here’s what the producer wrote to me:
“Do you know any wranglers/horsemen used to filmmaking in the upstate New York area? We need a couple of “sneaking riders” with horses. [Also] runner for food/lunches since any run is about ½ hr each way—GCV is very rural. But we can probably find a local production assistant to help us out.”
So two different jobs, and probably two different people:
1) I don’t even know what a “sneaking rider” might be, but I assume that experience with horses is expected.
2) The second job would be to provide simple lunches (e.g., sandwiches), water/drinks, and snacks for the cast and crew (twenty people or less), so that they don’t have to constantly leave the set to go foraging. The Interpreter Foundation will, of course, pick up the tab for the food, snacks, and drinks.
If you are interested, or if anybody you know is interested, please contact me via [email protected].
Sincerely,
Daniel C. Peterson
Executive Co-Producer
