Must-read: European prayer vigil launched for Charlie Gard

The story that seized the attention of the world—from Donald Trump to the Pope and the Vatican—is now motivating people in Europe to life up this child in prayer.

This site intends to support the organization of prayer vigils for Charlie Gard throughout the whole Europe. Here is the calendar and map of the already planned vigils. Please join them and propose the organization of new ones!

In the next few days, a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) may confirm the death sentence of Charlie, a 10-month-old English boy suffering from rare genetic disease. Charlie is currently at the Ormond Hospital in London, where doctors have asked for his killing.

Charlie’s dad and mom care for him and treat him lovingly and have raised the funds needed to bring their son to the United States for an experimental cure. But three courts, including the Supreme Court of England, have decided to detach Charlie from the vital life support, to give him “a dignified death,” “in his own interest.”

Charlie’s case – incredible – is seriously threatening to pave the way to the obligation of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia for people considered outside the standard of quality of life.

For these reasons, we are organizing a Europe-wide network of prayer vigils for Charlie.
