Sabbath is the incubator for wisdom.
This is a time to remember your constant connection to your higher self, to feel the support you have from unseen realms, to stop and breathe in love and peace.
Sabbath is a state of mind.
We have everything we need – creation is complete – and we rest in the knowledge that, ultimately, all is well.
Sabbath is an ending and a beginning.
We have done all we need to do, for now. Sabbath is the exhale at the end of a task, the sigh as we settle into rejuvenating sleep.
The wonderful writer Wayne Muller wrote in his book Sabbath:
“Remember the Sabbath” is not simply a lifestyle suggestion. It is a time for sacred rest; a time to cease all mental and physical activity and let God be God in us. . . It is more than the absence of work – it is an inner knowing and faith that we have done our part and now we rest in the notion that God will do his.
After all, a day of rest was God’s idea in the first place!
