Why I’m Not Watching the Political Conventions July 21, 2016

It’s stressful on a soul level. I don’t think we have any idea how much energy it takes to be bombarded with negative messages and still maintain some equilibrium. Anger eats away at us, and living with that dissonance can make us feel fractured and tired.

In short, I’ve decided that being an informed citizen doesn’t have to include exposure to toxic substances.

Here’s my mantra during the campaign season:

People are trying to scare you. Don’t let them.

We all get to make choices about what we expose ourselves to. When you start to feel yourself pulled into the fear, it may be time to make a different choice.
