Buddhist Leaders Call For Climate Change Action At Paris Talks

Twelve of Buddhism’s modern day authorities appeal to world leaders to address climate change at next month’s Paris conference in a letter released Thursday. The letter, titled “Buddhist Climate Change State to World Leaders” dons the signature of the Dalai Lama and 11 other Buddhist leaders. Texas Student: Teacher Taught ‘Got Is Not Real’
A seventh-grade teacher in Katy, Texas assigned her class an assignment that asked her students to deny the existence of God, according to USA TODAY reporter Josh Chapin.Christian student Jordan Wooley told her mother about the assignment, and the issue was brought to the attention of district authorities at the Katy Independent School District (KISD) Board of Education meeting last Monday. Suspect Charged With Setting Two In The String Of Seven St. Louis Area Church Fires
David Lopez Jackson, 35, was charged last Friday (Oct. 30) with setting two of the sevenchurch fires in St. Louis this month. While there is still no sure idea of motive behind the arson, all seven of the targeted churches have black congregations. Jackson has been charged with two counts of second-degree arson and bail was set at $75,000.
