Oldest King James Bible Discovered! October 30, 2015

Jeffrey A. Miller, a New Jersey professor at Montclair State University, was visiting Cambridge in an effort to learn more about Dr. Samuel Ward, one of the translators of the King James Version of the Bible.  During the course of his research, Miller stumbled across a 70-page notebook belonging to the scholar that contained bible verses and writings in Greek and Latin.  It was only a month later when Miller was reviewing his notes from the journey that he realized the notebook was Ward’s draft of the King James Version!  Modern-day Biblical scholars have confirmed the notebook’s authenticity, whose pages date between 1604 and 1608.  There are no complete drafts of the King James Version because it was the effort of several translators, whose works came together to form the KJV.
