Vanity and imagination and opinion
are instruments of the mind
to keep us bewildered and entertained,
relying on delusions for connection and safety.
These only have meaning
in the world of illusion.
A hint of a glimpse of the Real
wakes us from the dream,
drops us to our knees,
and our hearts bow in awe.
Awe is the medicine that
clears our eyes
and redirects the internal compass
toward the Essence of the One.
