Essence of the One
Sunlight fell upon the wall;
the wall received a borrowed splendor.
Why set your heart on a piece of earth,
O simple one?
Seek out the source
which shines forever.

Everything in the physical world
reflects the light of The One.
We look to the world to find answers to our dilemmas,
to find truth, to find love.
As Rumi says, why stop with a piece of earth
when you can turn directly to your Source?
Know the truth of what you seek.
Enjoy the borrowed splendor that falls upon you,
but seek the Source which shines upon you and from within you.
Seek the Essence of the One.
