I’m sure you’ve heard by now that yesterday someone murdered Jennifer Hudson’s mother & brother, Jason. And her sisters 7 year old son is missing. She has said that she feels very close to her family & I cannot imagine what grief she is experiencing right now. I’ve found myself thinking about it all day, praying for her, contemplating it.
What you probably haven’t heard is that two days ago, on October 23, 30,000 Ugandan children were sold into slavery into the troubled Darfur region by Kony. They were sold into the Rebel Lord’s Resistance Army. Some being used as slaves, some as sex slaves, some as soldiers.

Consider being 11 & under. Consider being taken away from all your friends, family and all that is familiar & being dragged into the middle of a war, being forced to fight, being raped continuously. Imagine wanting so badly to feel safe or to find an advocate & wondering when help will ever come.
I hope that in addition to your sorrow for the Hudson family, you join me in turning our thoughts & prayers to these children as well.
