Secret Life of the Bees

 The Secret Life of the Bees is actually a really sad movie.  Who knew?  I watched it the other day thinking it was going to be a light-hearted story and a nice fun break from studying.  Not so, I cried like 5 times and felt sad for like 3 hours afterwards.

That said, it’s a worthwhile rental.  I think Dakota Fanning is such a great actress & she took an emotionally heavy role & handled it beautifully.  And of course, I love a movie about the strength & resilience of the human spirit.  I give it an A-, a high recommendation & a hearty suggestion to bring the tissues.
