Taking Thoughtfulness By the Horns

Taking Thoughtfulness By the Horns February 15, 2009

Some people are so thoughtful.  For example, my mom & sweet mother’n’law, Sara send Dave, Ran & I a card for every single holiday in the calender year.  Afterwards, I always feel like such a giant slouch that I didn’t plan ahead enough to do the same.  Even now with the e-cards, I still forget.

My friend Jessica sent me a valentines day card -in the mail!- saying she just “likes being my friend,” & it had an article for research for my book.  How sweet & thoughtful is that?

Hopefully, so I won’t feel so bad about myself, there some others out there who want to be thoughtful & even consider being thoughtful but almost always forget, don’t get around to it or realize it’s too late.  If you are like me, there’s grace for you from me… cuz, jeez Lord knows I need it for all the family birthdays & such that I’ve forgotten or very carefully stored in a calender I’m no longer using.

Today, I decided to take thoughtfulness by the horns.  I got something for someone who really needs that something … just to be thoughtful.  I’m really going to try to turn over a new leaf here!  And just maybe one day I can get on the level of my Ma, Sara & Jessica.

How about you?  How do you rate on the thoughtfulness meter?

Piss-Poor     /      bad       /    okay     /  great    / off the charts
