SO proud

SO proud

The sad thing about my job with InterVarsity is that every year, a new herd of “my” students, graduates.  (At least it feels like they are mine).  Often, in the Bible Jesus spoke about those he loved as his flock and he was the Shepherd.  It is so weird and bizarre to be a shepherd of a flock of sheep who move on every 4 years to spread out -literally- all over the globe and become part of a new flock with a new shepherd.  While it is joyful to see “my” precious sheep grow up and graduate, it is also unbelievably sad to watch these students go who Dave & I have prayed for, invested in, cried with, laughed with and done mission with.   In any case, I am so proud of them & I am filled with love and hope for their new life.  Hopefully, “I” raised them right.

Here is a great picture of just 3 of “my” wonderful new graduates.  These are great people, just the best of the best, and I love them dearly.  I am so proud to have been a part of their lives for the past 4 years.
