I recently wrote a guest post on the systematic injustice of abortion for Rev. Dr. Brenda Salter-McNeil’s blog.

(It’s about how the abortion rate for black women far exceeds other groups, and how Margaret Sanger’s early plan to eliminate the black race through abortions is working).

I know abortion can be a controversial subject, but since when have I allowed controversy to scare me out of making things known that are completely crappy in the world?

In particular, I’m passionate about seeing the African-American community educated on the beginnings of abortion in our community.

Since my article doesn’t say it explicitly, I’ll say it here: my personal belief is that life begins at conception.  Killing said life -inside a womb or just outside a womb- is murder.  Yes, you can choose to kill somebody -even the teeny-tiniest amongst human beings- but that does not mean it was your right to kill that teeny-tiny human being.

Maybe it’s my love-for-the-underdog, or my decidedly minority viewpoint, or my faith in God who values all of humanity, or my “Christian-ness,” or my being a mother (or maybe all of them combined) but I just cannot understand how murdering a child -no matter where that child is- got justified as somebody’s “right.”

Give a freaking break.   We have lost our doggone minds.  This is exactly why -exactly why- EXACTLY why at all points in human history large groups of people got killed off and then justified by some other group about why it was “their choice” to do it!  This is why the Holocaust happened.  This is why slavery happened.  Why can’t we see that?

I still feel so so so confused about why we don’t see that justifying abortion is just another form of genocide?

Legal abortion is merely a nice way to say that those in power have collectively decided it is beneficial to allow women the convenience of mass murdering their unvaluable children.  Why?

Because they are not children, their “fetuses.”

That is so annoying to me.

WTF?

Does this look like merely a fetus to you???

abortion1To me, it looks like a decapitated baby.

Or what about this image?  Is this “just a fetus?”

abortion2ndtrimester2To me, it looks a baby who was burnt by a substance meant to end his or her life.

Or how about this one?

IMG_7842Looks like a 8 lb. pound baby to me.

A baby who could have been murdered in a legal partial-birth abortion.

He’s my son, Rhys.

He’s not just some picture I pulled off a google image search.  He has a name.  Rhys has had a beating heart for 10.5 months outside my womb AND an additional 8 MONTHS inside my womb.

What makes Rhys invaluable enough to murder three or four or five months before this picture was taken?

Someone please tell me that.  Please, I would love to hear an explanation about what would give me the “right” to murder this defenseless child merely because he was smaller or happened to be living inside my belly.

Please tell me.  I would love to hear why it would have been my right to murder Rhys.  I’m begging you.

I think it’s time we all just admit that abortion doesn’t make any damn sense.

You can justify it, whatever, it still don’t make no doggone sense.

Anyway, I’ll stop now that I’m all fired up about it again,
