A mash-up for feeling like a caged animal

A mash-up for feeling like a caged animal

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’m not who I thought was, and that there are aspects of my life right now that are downright hellish.  I feel like a caged animal.  As I was spending some time with the Lord this morning I read, Psalm 39:7 – “But now, Lord, what do I look for?  My hope is in you.”

That got me thinking about the beautiful poem of May Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings while I was listening to the song His Eye is on the Sparrow.  Though I’m feeling a sense of agonizing desperation at all the things I cannot change I’m clinging for dear life to the promise from God that His eye is on me matter where I am.  Caged but singing…albeit horribly.

My hope is in Him.  So. I decided to make a mash-up, word-art photo of those two truths.
