Men, be forewarned: This is a post for the ladies! =) On campus tonight I saw a young girl -likely a freshman- with her boobs hangin’ all over the place.  She also looked a tad bit high.  We were waiting in line at Taco Bell together and so I very nearly grabbed her by the shoulders, looked her dead in her eyes and said, “do you know what your boobs are worth? I wanted to tell her to put them... Read more

Do you remember the *classic slapstick film, Tommy Boy? The one where Chris Farley declares, “brothers gotta hug!” And would you believe that for all these years I haven’t been able to get it out of my head?  So that everytime I see brothers hugging I say it just like Chris Farley did. (That’s the problem with pop culture, it’s just so doggone catchy)! So, of course I’ve been plotting & planning to get a great pic of my boys... Read more

I do. First, my own doggone rejection.  Today, I forgot about a meeting I had in Lansing -about an 1.5 hr. away.  Now that were down to one car, I wasn’t able to make the meeting.  We made it a phone meeting but I couldn’t finish it and then forgot to call her back. Can someone say that I am a big unprofessional jerk? Well, even if you don’t, I all ready handled that. After that, I laid down for... Read more

So, little Willow Smith dropped the dopest little hip-hop record, Whip My Hair (which by the way has all ready gotten 9.6 million views). (And I am not ashamed to admit, I love it) (Can’t stop singing it)! Here’s the deal: she’s 9. Of course, things are little different when this is your famous family, eh? All the differences aside between their family & mine, I’m not sure I would let my 9 year baby girl get into “the business”... Read more

…by the sweetest little boy in the world… Ransom came into this world with the most beautiful set of eyelashes, always perfectly curled up to the sky! Just adorable. …It’s hard to believe my first born son is now 5 years old… I’m beginning to see what older folks mean when they speak of the parenting years: “it goes by so fast.” I love seeing who Ran is becoming, yet I miss those days when he toddled around smiling and... Read more

…Dave & I were in the hospital… I was pushing. After 20 minutes… …My beautiful bouncing baby boy, Rhys bound into the world…. …and I was tired but very happy… …so we took him home… …and introduced him to his big brother… Over the next year, he quadrupled his weight to 22 pounds! He signs “more,” “all done,” “bye-bye & “please.” He calls his Daddy & his little kitty friend (Little Jerri Seinfeld our cat) “Daahh-Deeee.” He walks -and runs-... Read more

…and that’s day and night (oh yes it is)… (this was one of my fave songs growing up)! It’s the truth. Sadly, (or maybe happily???) there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you, my blogging friends. Day & night I’m thinking about my next post, wondering what my readers want to hear from me next, what I’m interested in or how much time and energy I have to give to it and all that... Read more

Every blue moon I get really motivated to do a bunch of house-and-home-and-make-my-husband-happy type-0-stuff… Especially when said husband does not eagerly anticipate my going on two trips in the next two weeks. It seems if I can convince him that I, in fact, do have it all together: can keep the house clean, cook meals-in-plenty for later, prep for my conferences and do all our laundry then he’ll somehow be happy(ier) about my going away. This was not usually an... Read more
