I only think of you on two occasions… October 12, 2010

An Autumn love is special at this time of the year...

…and that’s day and night (oh yes it is)…

(this was one of my fave songs growing up)!

It’s the truth.

Sadly, (or maybe happily???) there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you, my blogging friends.

Day & night I’m thinking about my next post, wondering what my readers want to hear from me next, what I’m interested in or how much time and energy I have to give to it and all that jazz.

Would you believe me if I told you this is my 6th attempt today to send this post?!?!

Two words, people:

Fred Bailey.  My supervisor -wonderful as he is- plans meetings from 8:30am – 9:00pm.

So, the truth is my blogging friends…

I’ve been really sad that for the past 6 days that I’ve been too tired, too over capacity and to drained to create a proper post.

The truth is…

I love blogging, but I’ve realized my real job needs to take precedence. ;(

I’ve realized that I need to set blogging aside when it conflicts with

…getting my house clean for the sake of peace and stability of all my household’s members…

…or when it conflicts with cooking dinner….

…or when it conflicts with spending quality time with my kiddos…

…or when it conflicts with spending quality time with the hubster…

…or when it conflicts with getting my “big rocks” in the jar.  My “big rocks,” currently being working out for 20 minutes a day for the sake of my mental health, spending time with God in prayer and Bible study & getting a good healthy amount of sleep…

ALL things I have actually sacrificed in the past for the sake of my blog.

So, though I’m in a busy season, and even now am in Cleveland in these marathon meetings I am thinking of you –day and night- my blogging friends.

I miss you.

And I can’t wait to be un-busy so that I keep sharing my life with you.

And in case, I haven’t said it in awhile—thanks for being a reader.  I appreciate you.

A blogger without readers is a lot like a tree that falls in the forest that makes a sound that no one hears.  Why go through all the trouble of being a tree and knocking yourself over if no one is listening?  (Or something like that)

I digress.  What was I saying?

Oh, yes! Thanks for reading!

xoxoxoxo,

P.S.The “Big Rocks” analogy in case you haven’t heard of it: The saying goes that your life is like a jar in which you must fit sand, water & big rocks.  If you put in the sand first followed by the water you will not be able to fit the big rocks.  However, if you put in the big rocks first, it will all fit, leaving out the junk.  In the same way with life, if you put in the MOST IMPORTANT things first, the rest will fit.  In my life, if I leave out my “big rocks,” (sleep, time with God, work-out, cleaning, etc.) my time fills up with useless garbage like eonline.com and such.
