There’s fire… We had an exciting night last night.  I volunteered to do dinner, mainly so I could get a minute alone in a room by myself.  When my hubby said he was too tired and would rather do dinner I should have known.  Actually, I had an inkling that I should do dinner but I didn’t listen to do it doggone it.  Instead I gave Dave the instructions: 1) put the leftovers in an oven safe dish & 2)... Read more

Wow.  Wow. Wow.  The sub-header doesn’t lie – it truly is Michael “like I’ve never seen him before.”  The film documents the journey of his final 50 sold-out shows that he was to perform in London. The show would have been AMAZING.  It was going to be a spectacle on a grand scale.  It would have been an incredible experience to see one of those shows.  In fact, I got sad all over again just thinking about something that magnificent... Read more

Last Sunday, Dave was fairly alarmed when I told him that Rhys hadn’t had a bowel movement since the previous Thursday.  “Well, how many does he usually have a day?”  I began to calculate…let’s see, 3 every hour, carry the 2, minus the 1… “about 6- 8 a day,” I said.  With his booming voice he said, “Grace!  That means he’s 22 poops behind! Call his Doctor!” I always hate to bug our pediatricians on weekends knowing they are trying... Read more

Back in May I posted this blog post about whether or not Rihanna should speak out about the domestic abuse she suffered from Chris Brown.  At the time, I was glad she had kept silent though several media outlets were criticizing her silence as being “irresponsible,” about such a serious issue. I find it hard to believe that they could criticize a young 20 yr. old woman who is an international super star and just been beaten by her equally... Read more

*****Spoiler Alert***** Yesterday Dave, Rhys & I, along with our friend Cristina & her 2 month old cutie, Amalia needed to get out of the house!  (Rhys did great by the way –slept & ate the whole time) 🙂 As the movie got going I was swept away in my imagination as I believe was intended.  But it became pretty clear about half way through the film that there was no plot. However, I was willing to forgive the film... Read more

If you had asked me 5 days ago, I’d have said everything was GGGRRRRREEAAT.  What with Rhys sleeping 90% of the day & night, I was in the euphoric phase of falling in love where his craps & cries were “precious” to me. Well, those days are over my friend!  (Though I am still very much in love with my little guy). We had a rough 5 day weekend here at the Biskie household, and I am officially overwhelmed with... Read more

Is it a bird?  Is it a plane? Is it Iron Man? Is it Jenga-Fett? Is it just your average trick-or-treater? No!  It’s none of those things… It’s SUPER RANBOT the Robot! He’s here to save the day! I was so proud of Dave for making this mostly home-made costume for less than $10.  He got the body armor, shield, arm guards & helmet for a dollar each at the dollar store. The helmet was actually a bucket which Dave... Read more
