I’ve been collecting DVDs for over five years now, but it wasn’t until last week that I achieved my dream of putting them all together on the same basic shelving unit. (Well, almost all — the ‘Walt Disney Treasures‘ sets are still lined up somewhere else.)
Now that my wife and I spend so much time sitting and feeding the kids, we’ve been watching a lot more videos than usual, lately; so we finally, for the sake of convenience, decided to re-arrange our bookshelves and put the movies and TV shows all in one place.
I am tempted to hold a contest or something like that to see who can identify the most titles — but at the moment, I have no idea what the prize would be. In the meantime, here are a few tips: all the movies are in alphabetical order; but if there’s a boxed set devoted to a director, it goes where the director’s last initial goes; and if there’s a boxed set with titles of various initials, it goes where the dominant film goes (so, e.g., the boxed set containing King Kong, Son of Kong and Mighty Joe Young goes under K).
