FWIW, one thing that didn’t occur to me until after I wrote the Just My Luck review is that, at the time this movie was filmed (between January and April 2005, according to the IMDB), Lindsay Lohan was 18, while the actors playing her best friends — Bree Turner and Samaire Armstrong — were 28 and 24, respectively. Yet these characters are all supposed to be grown-up, big-city, office-worker types of roughly the same age; if I’m not mistaken, they even went to school together. At any rate, something about this did feel a bit “off” in the movie, and I think this explains it.
