Christmas is only four days away, but at least one studio is looking ahead to Easter.
Today, Columbia Pictures released three new images from Risen, the movie about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus that is coming out February 19. (One of the new images is a bit spoiler-ish, though no more so than the trailers have been.)
First, we have this image of Joseph Fiennes as Clavius and Tom Felton as Lucius, the two soldiers tasked with finding the body of Jesus after it vanishes from the tomb:
Second, we have this image of the Crucifixion (and I continue to be struck by the fact that, unlike most films, this one does not put the Crucifixion on a hilltop):
Finally, we have a (spoiler-ish?) image in which Clavius has found the apostles and is “witness[ing] a miracle” with them (according to the photo’s official caption):
In fact, I’d say that last photo is closely linked to this shot from the second trailer:
