Does Donald Trump say that the goal of “the Jewish Masonic elite is to … enslave all of mankind under the thumb of a Jewish master race led by a world messiah who is to rule from Jerusalem”? Not yet, but he’s coming close to the anti-Semitic site (one of thousands) that did post that quote. It’s not much crazier than what Trump is saying now.

Speaking to supporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in West Palm Beach, Florida, this week Trump opened up his new lashing out “remarks” by claiming that a global cabal of shadowy “special interests” has looted the American economy and destroyed local manufacturing. “The Clinton machine is at the center of this power structure,” Trump said.

“We’ve seen this first hand in the WikiLeaks documents, in which Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty in order to enrich these global financial powers, her special-interest friends and her donors,” Trump said.

Trump made the accusation in a speech in which he also defended himself against many accusations of sexual harassment and abuse of women, published by The New York Times and many others.

After theories about President Obama’s birthplace, the FBI’s “rigged” probe of Hillary Clinton and whether Ted Cruz’s father was linked to the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Trump now says “a global power structure” is out to stop him. Trump’s latest lashing out is borrowed directly from Vladimir Putin. Putin also blames news of his own massive moral failures–including his murders of reporters–on dark secret American-backed “international forces” who are against him.

Are Trump’s evangelical Israel-supporting followers smart enough to understand that Trump has now entered into the classic field of the far, far, Jew-hating fully fictionalized white supremacist right? Do they “get” his criterion for self defense is now echoing the darkest reaches of online insanity rooted back into Nazism?

“Donald Trump is evoking classic anti-Semitic themes that have historically been used against Jews and still reverberate today,” Jonathan Greenblatt, the chief executive of the Anti-Defamation League, said in a statement.

Trump has reacted to the bad news that his own abusive history is catching up to him one allegedly abused woman at a time by unleashing increasingly authoritarian and conspiratorial lashing out.

Trump is now borrowing from his fringe far right conspiracy theory followers. This fringe is rife with classic anti-Semitic conspiracy talk of this kind: “Six Jewish Companies Control 96% of the World’s Media!” These sorts of rants are found on far right Jew-hating sites, especially in Vladimir Putin’s Russia these days…

Trump is echoing this sort of stuff:

Trump’s rhetoric is borrowed from the “New World Order” conspiracy theory-types that lurk online and keep coming back like turds that won’t flush. The surprise isn’t the online turds… but that one is now the GOP candidate for president of the United States.

According to Trump there is a coordinated conspiracy, underway by “Them” — bankers, secret societies, Jews, socialists — and women hired by Hillary to lie about being sexually assaulted — to rule over a new totalitarian global state.

As noted in an excellent recap in Wikipedia on New World Order conspiracies, advocacy groups including the John Birch Society, advocated for a multitude of conspiracy theories in the 1960s claiming that the governments of both the United States and the Soviet Union were controlled by a cabal of corporate internationalists, greedy bankers (Jews) and corrupt politicians who were intent on using the U.N. as the vehicle to create a One World Government. Then televangelist Pat Robertson, with his The New World Order, became the most prominent evangelical propagator of off-the-wall conspiracy theories…

This is the nonsense the Trump-supporting Alex Jones’ lunatic commentary digs into when Jones churns out his versions of International Elites (in other words Jews and “Others”) who are out to get the good white folks…

Trump, is finding himself backed into a corner. It looks like he’s starting to blame Jews for his troubles… As poll numbers tip against him, he’s lashing out against the media, women (“liars” all) who have ratted him out. Now he’s taken the next step against forces controlled by the Clintons– the banks, the Elites… the Global anti-Trump Conspiracy that will “rig” the US election… (with a little help from all those black voters who must be intimidated and stopped!) and all that is missing is for Trump to be a little more explicit: It’s THOSE JEWS! He hasn’t said that yet… but the dog whistles are already being blown.

Trump is now grasping at a fringe conspiracy theory about “international banks” (code for Those Jews) conspiring to undermine U.S. sovereignty and his candidacy. This is the talk of the Republican candidate for president! This is today’s GOP.

According to Trump Hillary Clinton has planned and orchestrated a massive secret cover-up of her alleged crimes aided by dark “international forces.”

Sound familiar?

Meanwhile Mr. Greenblatt, of the Anti-Defamation League, said he fears that white supremacists will see Trump’s comments as further “encouragement” for overt anti-Jewish violent actions. “Mr. Trump focused on the very issues and themes that obsess conspiratorial anti-Semites: They believe that there is an elite group of Jews who control the media, the government, and banking, and who are trying to destroy white America,” he said. “They also believe that most of Hillary Clinton’s donors are Jewish.”

R.I.P. GOP.
