Let Hope In

Let Hope In is the new book by Pete Wilson.

Remember the slogan “Hope and Change?”

Well, Pete has written a book about both.

But this is a book from a Christian biblical perspective. Not a treatise on government or the USA.

Without hope, few things change.

The Bible has a lot to say about hope, and Peter Wilson delves into this subject in a comforting, encouraging, and inspiring way.

Without hope, we are paralyzed, depressed, stuck.

What is the basis of hope?

How does hope grow in the heart?

How do you let go of the things that hold you back in life?

Wilson explores 4 choices that everyone should make. Those 4 choices, Wilson argues, lead to freedom from guilt and shame.

Choice 1: Choosing to Transform Instead of Transfer
Choice 2: Choosing to Be Okay With Not Being Okay
Choice 3: Choosing to Trust Rather Than Please
Choice 4: Hurt People, Hurt People, But Free People Choose to Free People

One quote I really liked in the book is, “Your past is not your past if it’s still impacting your present.”

So true.

Wilson is a clear and compelling writer, so the book is a fast read.

He talks about his own life, illustrating the points he’s making throughout the volume.

Let Hope In is a pastoral book at the root. So if you are someone who feels defeated by life, then this book may be the right medicine for your sickness.

I plan to interview Pete Wilson in the coming days. When I do, I’ll post it here.
