A Ministry Dream Team Revisited

A Ministry Dream Team Revisited 2025-06-15T10:20:54-04:00

A friend suggested that I relaunch my vision for a ministry dream team after I released my signature book Insurgence: Reclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom. His thinking was that the book would give leaders a startlingly clear vision of what the dream team would be focused on.

To wit, the team would labor together arm-in-arm to proclaim the explosive gospel of the kingdom and spread the Insurgence.

So at my friend’s suggestions, I crafted a brand new PDF document which articulates my vision (and hope) for a ministry team as well as the criteria for it.

I find the timing fascinating. August 12, 2018 will mark the 50th year that the greatest “dream team” formed in music. Led Zeppelin had their first rehearsal and officially formed on August 12, 1968. (I relaunched the dream team article on the same day, August 12th, 2018.)

Regardless of what you think of their music or their personal lives (which I don’t endorse, obviously), music experts are agreed that Zeppelin was the greatest hard rock band in history, and their music has proved timeless.

My prayer is that the Lord would finally form the spiritual parallel to Zep’s talent, gifting, and legacy, all toward spreading the Insurgence.

Sidenote: When I first presented my dream time vision several years ago in a podcast episode, 6 well known leaders kept coming up over and over again from my readers. I don’t believe, however, that anyone sent the podcast episode to any of those six people.

Perhaps a PDF document is easier to spread and consume.
