Well, I don’t suppose this home invader expected to be felled by an eleven year old boy, but that’s exactly what happened:
Gun-slinging home school student Chris Gaither was busy “petting the dog” on Wednesday morning when he encountered a burglar inside his Talladega home,he told WVTM-TV.
The boy grabbed a knife first, but ultimately opted for a handgun after the suspect threatened to kill him.
Chris followed the fleeing intruder outside and fired one warning shot into the air before unleashing a dozen rounds at the unidentified suspect.
All but one of the bullets missed the man, who was allegedly armed.
Oh, but that one full metal jacket bullet left quite the sting.
“It went through the back of his leg and he started crying like a little baby.”
The little boy, who said he was afraid during the encounter, gave an interview to a local television station:

As Instapundit wrote, “There are some parts of Alabama I’d advise against invading.”
