5. When Everyone Speculated Trump’s Casino Friend was Drunk

When a guy from Las Vegas who specializes in “casinos, greyhound racing tracks, oil production, and convenience stores” appeared at a GOP Convention, that was definitely a first.  However, Trump’s friend Phil Ruffin was so cool he pulled off those tinted sunglasses (at night!) — and even promised the audience that Trump “paid his bills on time.”  Wait, what?  This caused some to speculate that Ruffin had been partaking in a few drinks to calm his nerves.
