9. Monica Lewinsky
Last up (yeah, right) is the most notable of the bunch: White House intern and the wearer of the now-infamous blue dress, Monica Lewinsky. As a young 22-year-old intern, Lewinsky was drawn into multiple sexual encounters with President Clinton inside the Oval Office.
While under oath, Clinton famously uttered the lie, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.” But with various evidences, including that blue dress with Clinton’s DNA forever ingrained, Clinton had to admit he did have sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky after all.
On February 12, 1999, the U.S. Senate acquitted President Clinton of impeachment charges. He offered a “profound” apology over his indiscretions with Lewinsky and asked for a time of “renewal for America.”
Always a Clinton, always deferring blame.
