Here’s an interesting fun fact: When Nick was 16, he visited the White House and met the president for the first time. He was there to lobby for diabetes research, a disease he suffers from. On meeting the president, he said:

“It was great. He came up and thanked me for meeting his daughters and playing for them. I said, ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you.’ He said, ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you, too.’ Then we took a picture with about 100 kids.”
