4. If you grew up shooting rifles, you might not feel as comfortable with a pistol.
When I posted about my first class, a Facebook discussion amongst my friends made me realize something. My friend Virginia had mentioned that she grew up on a farm, but she doesn’t feel comfortable carrying. When she was a kid, they shot rifles, which are obviously much easier to shoot. That makes sense to me as well, and learning to be more comfortable with a 9 mm is a worthy goal.
By the end of the night’s shooting, I let out the breath I didn’t realize I was holding.
Another class, one step closer to my goal of being a licensed Tennessee permit holder who actually carries a weapon. Will I ever feel truly confident?
