5. “The Capitol Hill janitors just got a pay cut”

Nothing like using American sympathy for the hard working janitorial staff against them.   When the President used this emotion rhetoric, the Capitol Hill administrative officials had to issue a statement that this was “not true.”  (I wonder how many worried janitors called their office?  Thanks, Prez.)  The White House pivoted, saying that they weren’t getting as much overtime.  Also, a lie.
