Yarn-Con was awesome! I bought some beautiful yellow yarn I will use to make a hat. I also got the cutest hat for Maggie.

It’s reddish-pink and has a yellow flower on it.

We’ve been watching princess movies this week.

There’s a great second-hand children’s store just down the block, and we got dvd’s of Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella for $5 each! I saw them listed on Amazon for like $50 each because Disney hasn’t re-released them from “the vault” yet. I don’t know about you all, but I’d like to blow the door off the vault, run inside and grab copies of The Lion King, Peter Pan, 101 Dalmations, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Mulan. What would you grab from the Disney vault?

Also, Prince Phillip is a c-u-t-i-e.

Tomorrow we’re going to the Notre Dame vs. Purdue game!

I wish we were going there. But this year’s Purdue game is at Ross Ade.

Nice, but not as inspiring. Especially because Jesus isn’t in the background.

We’re super-excited. Grandma and Grandpa are going to babysit Maggie while we attend the night game.

Go Irish!

Have you seen Simple Mom? It’s my new favorite blog.

It has a little bit of everything and it’s a beautiful blog to look at too.

One thing I read there that I am trying to incorporate into my life is the idea of a Home Management Notebook. It’s like a day planner on crack. Awesome.

I hope to do a blog post soon about my journey in making one.

I am in full Christmas mode. This year everyone is getting homemade gifts, so I’m trying to get and stay on the ball early.

Lots of crocheting, and some other little fun ideas.

I will *not* be up all night Christmas eve finishing presents this year. I might, however, be building this for Maggie:

I love it!

To wrap up today, I’m going to post a picture from a trip to the park today with my friend C and her cutie-pie daughter V.

Ok, so I lied. Have you seen the show Up All Night?

I was skeptical. But I l-o-v-e it. It’s a nice mix of funny and sweet. And slightly inappropriate. But you laugh, because you can relate.
