Visit Jen for more quick takes. 7. Yarn-Con was awesome! I bought some beautiful yellow yarn I will use to make a hat. I also got the cutest hat for Maggie. It’s reddish-pink and has a yellow flower on it. 6. We’ve been watching princess movies this week. There’s a great second-hand children’s store just down the block, and we got dvd’s of Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella for $5 each! I saw them listed on Amazon for like $50 each... Read more

Friends, my favorite part of the liturgical year is upon us! I simply love, love the time that begins with Michaelmas (September 29th) and extends through the many wonderful feasts in October, the month of All Souls in November, and then Advent and Christmas. It’s so magical. I was raised Catholic, but since my grandparents aren’t Catholic, I didn’t have any liturgical celebrations in the home. Neither did Atticus, as he was raised Methodist. But one thing that is so... Read more

Oh my. It would seem it’s been more than two weeks since I’ve written anything on this poor, neglected blog. Things have been so crazy here that I’ve had a hard enough time just meeting my weekly post deadline over at VirtousPla.net. I haven’t even been able to comment on as many posts as I’d like, anywhere. I’ve seen so very many good ones lately. The main reason for my not posting is because Maggie has decided to revert back... Read more

We’re sick over here. Can’t breathe, blow your nose until it’s raw, watery eyes, sore throat, and oh yeah it’s 96 degrees outside sick.  I came down with it on Saturday, and then Maggie got sick on Monday. Then yesterday, Wednesday, I finally went to to the doctor because I was feeling some pain in my ear. It felt like when you’re on an airplane and your ear needs to pop. It felt like that for three days, and by... Read more

Today I’m writing over at VirtuousPla.net about my conversion from pro-choice to pro-life, and how when I opened myself just a sliver, he blew the door right off the hinges. I also struggled mightily to get a photo uploaded for that post! WordPress is trouble, I tell ya. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Read more

7. I’m still coming back down to Earth after a wonderful “vacation day” that Atticus and I had yesterday. We at breakfast, lunch, and dinner at three of our favorite places, went to the Indianapolis Museum of Art and perused some lovely boutiques. Then we went to the farm restaurant that is my favorite place, the Loft at Traders Point Creamery. I had a delightful glass of half-price moscato, and we enjoyed an amazing cheese tray with nuts and grapes.... Read more
