CANA Initiative #1

CANA (Convening, Advocating, Networking, and Acting) has a group of four major initiatives to spearhead in the next year. These first four areas can be viewed as a bit of the origin story of CANA over the last nine months, but were clearly defined by participants at the CANA kick off meeting in November 2013 at the Washington Cathedral. The first of the four is the:

Vital Spirituality Initiative

·Articulate a robust Generous Christian ethos that integrates spiritual vibrancy, theological depth, and holistic mission

·Engage 10,000 communities in process of personal and collective spiritual formation by providing access to the best ideas and training available

·Make available “best practices” from a wide-ranging spectrum of traditions

·Create pathways for a new kind of interaction between faith traditions
