Textbook’s version of the Second Amendment

Textbook’s version of the Second Amendment

How American history and the Constitution are taught in high schools:

The authors of United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination have taken it upon themselves to change the Constitution of the United States. The high school textbook contains a summary of each Amendment that alters the initial intent in which they were created.

The textbook notes the Second Amendment as, โ€œThe people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.โ€

The actual Second Amendment reads, โ€œA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.โ€

via High School Textbook Rewrites Second Amendmentโ€“Literally.

Does the paraphrase have the same emphasis as the original?ย  Does the paraphrase reflect judicial rulings on what the Amendment means?ย  Doesnโ€™t this go beyond โ€œliberal biasโ€ into outright propaganda?
